About FinanzSicht

FinanzSicht is a one-person project from Ybbs an der Donau in Lower Austria. Behind it is Michael Schöller, and the budget planner grew out of a simple need: to see all the numbers of one household on a single sheet, without an app, without a subscription and without uploading bank data anywhere.

Why a Numbers template?

Budgeting apps are convenient, but they want access to your bank account, charge monthly or show ads. A spreadsheet belongs to you. It runs on Mac, iPad and iPhone, lives in your own iCloud and adapts to any situation in life. The price used to be work: formulas, categories, charts, key figures. That is exactly the work the template takes off your hands.

How the template came about

I built the budget planner in 2025 for my own finances and have developed it month after month since then: first income and expenses, then the net worth overview with portfolio and crypto, later the loan calculators with extra repayments and interest rate changes, and the key figures with an explanation of what a good value is. Every version was tested with fictional sample data before it went into the shop. What you buy is exactly the file I work with myself, just with empty fields.

What you can count on

  • Your data stays with you. No bank connection, no account with us, no cloud except your own.
  • Pay once, use for good. No subscription; bug fixes come as free updates.
  • Honest numbers. The template helps you keep an overview and is not investment, tax or financial advice.
  • Personal support. I answer questions myself by e-mail, usually within 1 to 2 business days.
