Requirements

Which Numbers version do I need?

Apple Numbers 14.4 or later on Mac, iPad or iPhone. Numbers is free on the App Store. The template does not run in Excel or Google Sheets because it uses Numbers features such as the stock price function and categories.

Does the template work on iPad and iPhone?

Yes. The file lives in iCloud Drive and can be opened and edited on all your devices. Entering data is most comfortable on a Mac or iPad; checking the summary works well on the iPhone too.

Do I need to know formulas?

No. You only fill in the yellow fields; all calculations, key figures and charts are ready. The guide is right inside the file on the “Settings” sheet.

Purchase and download

How do I get the file?

Right after payment the download appears on the order page. You also receive two e-mails: the order confirmation with the PDF invoice and one with the download link. You get a ZIP file with the blank template and a demo with fictional sample data. Please also check your spam folder.

How do I pay?

By credit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, Klarna or bank transfer, depending on what the checkout shows. The invoice comes as a PDF with the order confirmation.

Can I return the template?

It is digital content: by agreeing to the immediate download at checkout, the right of withdrawal expires. That is why we show you every sheet as an image beforehand, and we help by e-mail if anything goes wrong.

May I pass the file on?

The template is meant for your own household. Within your family you can of course use it together; passing it on to third parties and reselling are not allowed.

Working with the template

Where do the prices for stocks, ETFs and crypto come from?

From the stock function in Numbers, which uses data from Yahoo Finance. They are previous-day closing prices, not real-time. You need an internet connection; prices may be missing for some exchanges.

Can I change categories and rows?

Yes. You can rename the 12 categories, add rows and set fixed costs with a from and to month. Yearly amounts are spread over 12 months automatically. Grey rows contain formulas and stay in place.

Can I use only the net worth overview?

Yes. The net worth sheet works on its own: bank accounts, fixed deposits, brokerage, crypto, pension, property and debts as separate rows, net worth at a glance. Once a month you carry the current figures over to the month-end table (12 months per yearly file). There is no month-over-month comparison in percent and no chart across several years. Key figures based on income and expenses stay empty in that case.

How do I start in the middle of the year?

Enter the year, then fill in the past months from your bank statements or leave them empty. The key figures only use completed months, so they stay meaningful even if you start in autumn.

What happens at the turn of the year?

Make a copy of the file, enter the new year and clear the monthly amounts. Fixed costs, categories, net worth and loans stay in place.

Updates and support

Are there updates?

Bug fixes are delivered as free updates by e-mail. Larger new versions are announced in the shop.
